The motto "Small in form, big in sound" is represented in every Kai ukulele by way of a second sound port located on the left upper bout of the body. This small sound port translates to a big sound experience for the player as the sound from their playing is directed to the player for an immediate response.
Kai Ukuleles are not only a treat to the ears but they are also a visual treat for the eyes. Using tone-rich woods such as Mango, Pacific Walnut, Rosewood, and Acacia for the body, these woods are visually eye-catching and beautiful. Some models are embellished with delicate inlay designs made from abalone shell, thus complimenting the name of the brand "Kai", which means "sea" in Hawaiian culture.
