WTN Planner 2023: Embracing Detours In hiking, we’re told to stay on the path, to not veer away from where others have walked before. To go off path might mean encountering sheer cliffs and slippery slopes. While staying on the path provides the promise of reaching the desired destination. But in life, we rarely walk a straight line. Some detours happen by accident, like the loss of one’s livelihood, the loss of one’s dream, or worse, the loss of one’s love. Other detours can be intentional, when we decide that where we are now no longer serves us. This planner pays homage to life’s detours and what might happen when we choose to keep moving forward. A portion of our proceeds will fund livelihood projects of Aeta communities in Yangil & Botolan, Zambales, Philippines. The focus is on two causes that are close to our hearts: reforestation and education.
